Design, Engineering & Manufacture

“When you are truly independent, nothing can stop you from doing what you love — not an investor, a supplier, or a subcontractor.”

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

EVERY NEW TIMEPIECE BEGINS WITH A QUESTION

For me every new timepiece begins with a profound horological question or a desire to challenge mechanical and aesthetic boundaries. In this initial phase, I immerse myself in conceptual research, exploring new mechanical solutions, unique complications, and architectural possibilities that will eventually form the soul of a new calibre.

AESTHETIC DESIGN

A TIMEPIECE AS A MASTERPIECE OF VISUAL HARMONY

I believe that a watch must be a masterpiece of visual harmony before it becomes a triumph of engineering. During the aesthetic design phase, I personally shape the initial visual concepts, balancing form and proportion. By designing with final manufacturing in mind, structural feasibility is seamlessly embedded into the aesthetics from the very first sketch, resulting in a distinct and bespoke appearance.

ENGINEERING

WHERE GEOMETRY MEETS MICRO-MECHANICS

Utilizing advanced CAD systems, I translate the artistic concepts into rigorous engineering blueprints. I meticulously calculate the tolerances of every single wheel, pinion, and spring, ensuring that the movement’s architecture is not only beautiful but technically flawless.

PROTOTYPING

PROVING THE VALIDITY OF THE TECHNICAL DESIGN

Before a single precious metal component is finalized, a prototype must prove its concept. I produce and assemble functional test models in my workshop, allowing me to analyze the physical behavior of the new mechanism, evaluate tactile feedback, and refine the architecture for perfect reliability.

COMPONENT MANUFACTURING

TRUE INDEPENDENCE MEANS RELYING ON OUR OWN CAPABILITIES

Within my atelier, raw materials are transformed into ultra-precise watch components. Our manufacturing relies on a unique combination of high-end modern machinery, custom tools built by myself for proprietary techniques, and deeply valued traditional, antique watchmaker’s tools. Aside from specialized components like sapphire crystals, hairsprings, and jewel bearings, virtually the entire timepiece – from mainplates, bridges, gears, and pinions to balance wheels, hands, dials, crowns, and custom screws – is manufactured entirely in-house.

HAND FINISHING & DECORATION

THE DEFINING SIGNATURE THAT COLLECTORS DEEPLY APPRECIATE

In the pursuit of absolute aesthetic perfection, there is no room for compromise. Every single component — even those hidden deep within the movement — undergoes meticulous hand-finishing. Achieving this supreme level of quality requires immense patience and hundreds of hours of dedicated masterwork. Through time-honored techniques like anglage, black polishing, Geneva stripes, and traditional frosting, we breathe unparalleled life into every surface.

JEWELLING & PRE-ASSEMBLY

ENSURING OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY AND ZERO FRICTION

To ensure optimal efficiency and zero friction, synthetic rubies must be set with absolute precision. In this sub-assembly phase, I fit the jewel bearings into the mainplates and bridges, and pre-assemble critical sub-mechanisms. This ensures that the train of wheels will later spin with frictionless grace.

MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY

THE FIRST HEARTBEAT OF A NEW TIMEPIECE

This is the moment of creation. Bringing hundreds of individual, hand-decorated parts together requires supreme concentration, patience, and absolute stillness. Component by component, the movement is painstakingly assembled at my workbench until the balance wheel is set in motion, and the timepiece comes to life with its very first heartbeat.

TIMING & REGULATION

A RELIABLE GUARDIAN OF TIME

A true timepiece must be a reliable guardian of time. Once the movement is alive, I undergo the rigorous process of adjusting and regulating its escapement. By monitoring its performance in multiple positions and temperatures, I fine-tune the mechanism until its chronometric precision meets my uncompromising standards.

CASING UP

THE MARRIAGE OF INTERIOR COMPLEXITY AND EXTERIOR ELEGANCE

This step represents the final marriage of interior complexity and exterior elegance. The regulated movement is carefully secured into its precious metal case, followed by the delicate installation of the dial, the hands, and the sapphire crystal, transforming the mechanical engine into a complete, unified piece of art.

QUALITY CONTROL & TESTING

ONLY WHEN IT IS FLAWLESS DO I PERSONALLY SIGN IT OFF

Before a timepiece can leave my atelier to join a collector’s family, it must prove its perfection. Over several weeks, every watch undergoes exhaustive real-world simulations, power reserve verification, water-resistance checks, and continuous aesthetic evaluations. Only when it is flawless do I personally sign it off.

“Beyond design, engineering and manufacture, I personally inspect and validate every detail at every stage of creation, placing my signature only on timepieces that have achieved perfection.”
